This not only describes my current situation but was also my favorite episodes of Star Trek: Voyager. Very similar to my story actually. I have stopped fighting and decided to "take a year off".

I was recently talking to a friend about a Native American tradition called Lying in the Ashes, about very sad people being given a warm place by the fire and just allowed to take the time they need to work through it.

I think safe haven is within us. I know that sounds corny, but that is my current focus. As I alter my experiences by changing my perspective and taking calculated risks, I verbalize my gratitude daily and find some sense of peace in my mind, usually through brief meditation.

I understand losing that sense of direction or purpose, or both. I'm currently floundering about where I want to live-- what state or country. It becomes more challenging once we have ties to people and places, but I need to choose a path and go.

I wish you well in your life management! It can be magical, and I wish that for you!

Funny you should write that. I was reading some Marcus Aurelius today and he had very similar words about the state of our minds creating how our life goes.

A sense of urgency has properly awoken within me and much as I have struggles on an emotional level, I'm trying to focus on creating that safe haven. If I do that, the next part will unfold in due time.
