Despite my stated desire to move away, I find my business is taking longer to finish up. My car is not roadworthy, albeit it is decent enough for errands and shopping. So I need to find a cheap, reliable replacement, which will take a minute. And since the Honda is still running, might as well sell it as well ( Read more... )

I'm also interested in seeing how your date goes!

And good luck with getting things straightened out so you can get on with things.

This was our first meetup after being introduced by friends. It was nice - we have similar life trajectories and have lots of things to talk about. So we had breakfast at a local chain called Coco's that does breakfasts and pies really well and after, made an evening movie date for tomorrow.

She likes cats, history and scary movies so that's a good base to work from.

Now, if she likes historical movies about scary cats or scary movies about cats from history or even the history of scary cat movies, I'd say you have a winner and to look no further. :D

Glad things went well.

Lots of things to talk about is a good first sign. I hope things work out in that arena.

As for the car, I'm sure the circumstances will work themselves out, as long as you do your due diligence (which I'm sure you will!).

Take care, dear.

Happy Weird People schedule and it is good to see the breakfast date went well. I hope the ensuing date was even better.

First of all, where the heck are you? Did I get taken off a list or something, because this is the last post I'm seeing and I'm recovering from surgery and I want to catch up with ya! :)

Also, you're dating. In Cali. When you're aiming to move out of state. Am I missing something?

I've had a wrench thrown into my plans by finding out my car has terminal too-many-miles-itis. So I'm having to shop for something cheap.

And I'm a bit confused about staying or going and where, exactly. I'll update with a bit more detail soon.

I can understand some of what you're going through, decision-making-wise, as I am in similar bouts with myself. Still wishing you the best of everything.

Thank you. In addition to how challenging it is to try and find a rental place long distance, factoring in places that reject me because I don't have a job or because I have cats is adding complications.

Snowball and Fizzy aren't disposable, they really have bonded and I get a lot of enjoyment just watching them play. I'll figure out something so the family can stay together.
