I have horrible reccomendations, man, so I'll just give you what I last indulged in.

1. a movie: NOT Napoleon Dynamite House of Flying Daggers, Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club 2. a book: The Perks of Being a Wallflower, or Battle Royale, or Cities of the Red Night 3. a musical artist, song, or album: The Velvet Underground and Nico, Q and Not U 4. a LiveJournal user not on my friends list: pokethegeek is awesome. 1. Seen all but House of Flying Daggers. w00t. 2. Should read "Perks", I didn't know Battle Royale was a book! (thought it was just a manga and a film!) and haven't heard of the last one. 3. Oooh.
1. House of Flying Daggers is really cool, it's a martial arts movie but there's an entire romance thing going on. It's by the same director as the movie Hero, which was also incredibly awesome. 2. Battle Royale is a really cool book! I've seen the manga but I haven't read it nor have I seen the film yet. I hope they're as good as the book was. Perks is really awesome. Cities of the Red Night is a pretty crazy book. It's kind of like a stream of conscience with different characters popping up in different places. 3. :D
7. Hee! I'm reading Andy Warhol's book right now and that popped out. :D
I saw Battle Royale last summer, it was a really cool film and I was all "Damn, how do the Japanese come up with this stuff?" - I'd like to take a look at the manga, too. Was the book first, though, I wonder. I'd like to read to get more insight to some of the characters that popped up in the movie but didn't get much backstory. I mean, there are SO many characters in it, it's hard to keep track of who's who especially when some drop dead before the movie has even properly begun.
