"Why don't you go fuck yourself, Malfoy, or does your mum do that for you as well," Ron mutters beneath his breath as Hermione's cheeks pink with fury at both of them, Ron for saying what he did and Draco showing up right at breakfast to pick at them. Ron doesn't particularly care, he just tries to save the insult-changing and the fisticuffs until after he's eaten.
There's nothing wrong with a little skinship. Or a ton, even though Kibum doesn't know how to react to Donghae's casual arm around his neck, the casual hand on his hip, the breath tickling his neck, making his heart rate pick up, oxygen being sucked out of the room suddenly. Donghae probably doesn't notice it, his hand covering Kibum's over the computer mouse, clicking at some online game Donghae is trying to teach him, Donghae's simply being himself. Donghae who pulls him along to skip some dull school ceremony, Donghae who he ends up hiding with in the toilets, and laughing at something stupid, Donghae who finally kisses him. Kibum's never been quite good with the what-comes-next so he focuses on the now, kissing Donghae back like everything ever has lead up to this point, which it hasn't really, but that's just kind of how it feels like.
OMG HOW DO YOU DO THIS. lsakdfjlaksdjflaksdjf FLAIL. This is so great and simple and sweet in that "this just happens" sort of way. I love the leading up to part, how it seems like everything before has been working up to this in some strange way but only seen like that once it happens. <33333333333333333333333
"You can't ask her out, I want to ask her out," Hyukjae says and doesn't want to remind Junsu he is elder and he is also better, and he could kick Junsu's ass and have him on the ground within five minutes, begging Hyukjae not to fist him in the face, but then Hyukjae remembers they're not 12 anymore so maybe they're past that sort of stuff.
"Well, finders keepers," Junsu says and Hyukjae scowls, the girl's been in their class for ages, nobody found her, certainly not Junsu who always loses all of his crap.
"She's going to go with In-hoon anyway," Hyukjae lies as the next best thing and Junsu's disappointed, so they just decide to not get dates at all as that means they get to just hang out and look at all the girls and isn't that really what it's supposed to be all about?
"Like, why limit," Junsu says at the party, "there's plenty of me to go around, and if they want second best, there's you."
No girls actually talk to them during the evening, but that's okay, too.
Little by little they begin to gel together so well Booth knows they don't need any psychology to get in between. He knows her, he gets her; it doesn't mean he won't argue against her ridiculous claims, but it also doesn't mean he's against her as a whole. They bicker. There's a line. There are lots of lines drawn, here and there and he knows he's not supposed to, but he likes to picture himself inside her head, that brilliant mind, the sharp wit and the world where even language ought to be stripped from illogical meanings.
"You're really something," he says one time, just breathes it out so silently he's not sure she even hears it, but she's smiling and then he wonders why that brilliant mind can't figure it out, can't see past the lines he's so carefully drawn for himself never to cross.
Kibum has a set of standard responses to everything and anything, and Heechul knows them better than he wished. Indifferent, amused, annoyed (but looking mostly indifferent). Heechul tests it out. He breaks a cup, and Kibum is indifferent. A cell phone - and Kibum is amused. Something of Kibum's - and Kibum is annoyed, silently so, and Heechul can't get a bigger reaction out of him no matter what. Heechul pesters and pokes and gives up, groaning finally, "How the hell did you ever get to be an actor?" and Kibum is amused.
"How do you know this is not acting, hyung?" he asks, and just then Heechul knows why they're best friends, and why they'll always remain that.

I'm sorry, I'm a little incoherent. But that was wonderful.
