Kingdom Come ALWAYS invites odd conversationalists! I was at Borders one day reading Dark Victory when this dude randomly came up to me, handed me Kingdom Come, and told me that it was the greatest graphic novel he ever read. And then I read it, was disappointed, and walked away torn between being sad about Billy's life and LOLing that only Wonder Woman could handle the super-sperm.

Yay for finding a comic book store!

A) How did you like Crime Bible and Half a Life?
B) I'm excited about seeing Renee in Birds despite the fact that it adds another character to a book with too many. I'm even more excited for Saiz art!
C) I like Helena/Renee as both friends and in a relationship. Seeing as Gail secretly ships Babs/Dinah, I'm not sure what to expect out of this team-up.
D) Have you read Rucka's run on Checkmate?

A) Well, I'd already read both, but I am a pirate who likes to legally own things she enjoys lolll (WHEN THE WORLD WILL LET ME) It's funny because when I first read Gotham Central I already knew Renee was gay, but I didn't know about her history with Dent, so I was surprised by the wrong thing, I guess lol. And I loved Crime Bible, even though I wanted to smack Renee. Leave that book aloneeee. DID I MENTION I HATE COMING IN LATE TO THE PARTY?

B and C) I am too! I don't really ship Helena/Renee, but I love their friendship. THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT THE ONLY THING STANDING BETWEEN THEM AND DRUNKEN, MATCHING "CATHOLIC GUILT 4 LIFE" TATTOOS IS RENEE'S SOBRIETY. But yeah, too many people on that book, too much Batman. At least the art will look awesome.

D) I have not, although I have it sitting in a folder here. I think I'll love Sasha, but I'm not sure I'll like Checkmate itself, so I keep putting off reading it (I'm ridiculous okay? lol)

A) I came late to the party as well and as soon as I got caught up, now I'm stuck having to wait for things to happen which is what I hate.

And yeah, Batman needs ot stay far, far away from the Birds although I'm wondering if Helena will have a guest spot in either Batman Inc or Gates of Gotham (which I am totally looking forward to). As for the tattoos, I wonder if Gail is going to address the end of Pipeline which would be AWESOME!!

D) You'll love Sasha, I guarantee it. As for the book itself, first there's enough Sasha that it's worth it. Plus, I really enjoyed Waller in it as my only previous experience was with her in the DCAU. And it's kinda a GI Joe/West Wing kinda story ... there's politics, but also a lot of action. I mean, it's written by Rucka, what do you expect? ;)
