I had an absolutely wonderful time last night, Chris. I don't get to go out often anymore, and the Cat and Fiddle was just adorable. It didn't feel like Sunset at all.

"I think it helps that I didn't try to 'make' it special or try to outdo myself. I let myself enjoy it without piling on a lot of pressure or trying to wring any significance out of it."

Yeah, not crawling up your own ass about everything is pretty great! I need to do that more often. Some narratives should just be allowed to construct themselves, you know.

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. While my own happiness is MOST important, it is also important that other people enjoy themselves, too. Otherwise it reflects poorly on me, which again, affects my happiness.

I like Cat & Fiddle. They were a little annoying at first about the whole we-won't-give-you-a-table-but-could-you-not-all-huddle-around-a-bench? thing, but once they realized that my popularity was about to boost their sales for the evening relatively considerably, it seems like they cooled down.

You have stolen my "Day o' Fun" moniker (except ours is "Saturday o' Fun").

It was a Saturday, too. It's my birthday, I'm allowed to take whatever I want.

25 is a big milestone...your car insurance drops. :)

Somehow I don't think that's true if you just rear-ended somebody on the freeway in January.

mmmm..possibly not.

wow...on the freeway, well, in LA you couldn't have possibly been going all that fast. :)

Haha. I was actually, but they were stopped in front of me, and therein lied the problem...
