God, Joshua. I loved our little conversation, because Joshua's the first and only person in camp to cause Naruse to be all >(!!. And to build a solid wall in front of him - literally and figuratively.
For obvious reasons, Naruse doesn't want anyone to know about his revenge plot; worse now that he's gotten attached to one or two people in camp. His mask is actually starting to crack a little, because he has met nothing but kind folks with (almost) pure hearts, who shockingly, seem to care for him. Then he meets Joshua. Someone he can't manipulate, because the boy seems smarter than most, and Naruse doesn't (and knows he never will) know enough about him... and then there's that special little mind-reading ability ( ... )

And Joshua lives in a shack on the other side of the lake. . . And likely would flip his shit if he ever finds out. But he's pretty ignorant of technology and not conscientious of his living space. SO, IF YOU WIRE HIS ROOM TELL ME SO I CAN PASS THE GOODS/INFO ON.

Merrryyy! Naruse adores Merry. He has his own little loli in canon (who calls him Ryou-niichan), so just by being sweet, kind, and a cute little girl filled with goodness, Merry's automatically one of his favourites. He can't help smiling for the few times he has spoken to Merry - and it took what, five episodes (out of the eleven) for him to give a genuine smile in canon, so that really is an achievement. It helps that she's so friendly and unassuming; Naruse clings to the folks he thinks are full of innocence, possibly because he believes it's the only way to prevent himself from being consumed by The Darkness of Man's Heart. But really, Dakki likes Itachi and wants to know more about him and his Ko-no-hah village, because he's intelligent, independent, sensible, and more importantly, seems to know his way around camp. He pings her as a less wordy, prettier version of Bunchuu, one of the strongest/smartest characters in canon... who also happens to hate her guts for brainwashing his emperor. So, what better than to befriend Itachi and have a Bunchuu v2 as a potential ally? ♥
At the same time, she totally wasn't joking about the fashion make-over. She's determined to put Itachi in yellow or pink someday! (Or at least some gaudy designs on that boring, black cloak.) She hopes to have Itachi smile a little more too, though she's very amused by the ">|" looks Itachi shoots at her sometimes.

Basically, Hiruma respects Yuta for his guts -- not many boys can stand up to a maniac with a gun, in Hiruma's experience, much less a kid like Yuta -- and derives some amusement in poking at Yuta and watching him react. On the other hand, Yuta's attitude also makes him harder to threaten than most, not to mention the devastation it can cause to his Reputation if people find out that he can't faze a little boy.
tl;dr aside, he'd shoot Yuta in the head with a rubber bullet every time they meet... 'cept he hasn't gauged what Hellboy can do yet, so that'll have to wait. :/
Dakki on Rabi: Rabi's all secretive and smiley and oddly nice to Dakki, while openly declaring his friendship with Taikoubou, so Dakki doesn't trust him. At all. Having had the luxury of knowing and/or reading her enemies' motives for most of canon (let's leave the clown with ( ... )

Seriously, Dakki felt such a strong connection with Byakuran that she immediately saw him as her strongest ally -- and perhaps, her worst enemy. She's attracted to Byakuran's mannerisms, intelligence, and principles. She especially loves that he appears ruthless, filled with darkness... and it's a sexy kind of darkness to boot. She really hasn't found any villain who matches those descriptions in her own world, which makes Byakuran a BIG catch. To be perfectly honest, if camp didn't have that sex rule, she'd be all over Byakuran. Emperor, what Emperor? ♥
Of course, Dakki doesn't trust him completely, and may never will. After all, it's the smart, merciless types like Byakuran who can easily turn around and stab her in the back if she lets her guard down too much.
We should go terrorize the locals more, Byakuran-chan!
