[closed to Scheherazade]: hunger defines me

He had Phedre for a while. With Anita hurt, he needed someone, and Phedre - was willing ( Read more... )

Scheherazade has been --- happy. In a good mood, and it's only because she's stimulated by Muraki's teaching, she swears.

But of course, it's not.

And should Henry wander into the library, though it's late, he'll find a young Persian scholar pouring over the contemporary history of Japan, for no good reason, she insists. She found some books in contemporary farsi, and with some efforts, she can decipher it, though it's a long and slow process. She's quite focused on what she's doing.

Well that`s ----- indeed distracting, and her first instinct was to scream when the first tiny jolt of pain shot through Scheherazade's mind, but it shifted into a little moan of surprise.

And off she goes, then, limp, eyes half-closed, enraptured.

Henry, meanwhile, just - drinks. His eyes roll back as her blood flows over his tongue, down his throat, and as always it soothes, eases, fills. And he is so hungry but-

Mindful of her, of taking too much.

He'll push, though. As much as he can, without putting her in danger.

We're not sure if this is serendipity, but.

She can feel herself becoming weaker, but his bite is so good so -- aphrodisiac, so enthralling, that Scheherazade may feel herself -- almost detaching from her body.

Lost in this, she's about ready to faint.

He doesn't let himself take too much, too fast. He draws back before she passes out fully, and murmurs, with more than a touch of compulsion this time, "Forget."

His name, his face...everything.

Anita, he thinks, doesn't need to know about this.

Scheherazade blinks, and she might nod (or is that her head bobbing because she's passing out?) before she faints in Henry's arms, utterly.... helpless.

Hm, should I make a post for Light, or should he tag in here, or?

He catches her with just a bit of a grunt, supporting her weight, and then lifts her into his arms and carries her to a chair nearby, sets her in it as comfortably as he can.

She'll be found soon. He leaves her neck tilted to the side, the marks bare - so they know why she is unconscious. He doesn't want her dead. His eyes are hazel now, and he can breathe easily.

He is grateful.

I could just as easily tag him in here? What's simplest for you?

Also I miss you. D:

Scheherazade will be lying there, then, body limp as though she is dead, though she is breathing, if faintly, and will be weak for a while.

that's perfectly fine, tag him in, if you don't mind?

Also, miss you lots and lots - but I need to stay disciplined, so no chat for me until this hiatus is over. >.< Is painful, though. I miss you and yours like whoa. ;____;

Are you having a good time in Cali? How was your flight?

(Yes, this tag is much more about you than about the puppets >.>)

Light is up late, restless and sleepless as he often is, and so he goes to the library. Hoping to find, if not something solid, at least a book to occupy his hands and eyes instead of laying in bed staring blankly at the ceiling.

And then he sees Scheherazade limply draped in a chair, pale and unstirring.

He panics.

"Scheherazade!"

Tagged away! And awwww, I miss you too - at least I am not on much either? Though that is making me fairly sad at the moment as well. ;__;

My flight went well! And Cali was pretty good, although something is making me sneeze like wild, I don't know what.

Well, Scheherazade is still unhelpfully passed out, though she may, even in her state, make a soft noise, pained.

At least she's not dead, Light? But she probably should be moved from where she is, and that's something she'll need help with.

I'm glad it all went well! And I'm off hiatus too, and and and. Though I'll probably be on a more diurnal schedule in the coming weeks - for thesis purposes.

Still miss you like whoa, though. Is epic missinz, yo. ♥

He hears that, with relief, and his hands move to her neck, checking her pulse first, trying to organize his thoughts. Breathe, she doesn't need panic, panic helps no one. Get her horizontal, she needs fluids, she shouldn't be -

He sees the marks. The hair on the back of his neck is suddenly prickling and he looks around the library, fearful abruptly. Pandora? Or another? If she lied -

They need to get out of here. He's not strong, but he moves to pick her up nonetheless, though he'll attempt to wake her first.

"Scheherazade - open your eyes, look at me."

Mama Vamp is absolutely affronted that you would even suggest such a thing, Light. But feel free to confront her about it.

"--- Light ---" Scheherazade murmurs, and her head lolls to the side, she forces her eyes open --- "what -- I feel so tired --"

She's probably very pale, after all that blood loss, and week. After making the effort to speak, to look at him, her eyes close again.

To Henry's chagrin, he probably will.

He holds her head up, or tries to, and bites his lip a little when she speaks and her eyes close. "I need you to try to stay awake," he says, trying to get her attention again. "I need you to look at me. Look at me, all right?"

Mama Vamp is already practicing her facepalming.

"--- so tired," Scheherazade murmurs, probably muffled into Light's shoulder. "--- Light?"

We would be too.

"--I know," he says, "I know - it's me. It's Light, but you have to stay awake. I can't carry you all the way to your room. Help me help you."

Scheherazade leans into him, nods, drawing as much strength as she can. "-- I can try," she murmurs, "-- let me to my feet --"

She's going to be leaning heavily on Light, though, throughout the whole trek, which will feel like forever.
