Summer Plans

So, here's the deal guys: I am not coming home for the summer. I will be working at Lake Tahoe as a cocktail waitress until the end of June. My decision making process was difficult and tear-filled. What it comes down to is that my parents allowed my sister to move in to my room, tear me down from the walls and rip me out of the floor boards. I don ( Read more... )

Renee,
Thank you for the thoughtful response. Circumstances have arisen and I may be in Seatle after all, although grudgingly. I really want to go home...very badly actually. I am really livid, however. I don't think that you can compare my situation with Mallahan's, since Ellen moved into MY room AND SHE HAS HER OWN! Nobody replaced Mallahan. I like some things to be the same. That was one of them. I really resent my mother and my sister (my dad is off the hook on this one.)
We should talk.
Love,
Kira

Yes, my best friend, Matty, and I have started dating here. It's a long complicated story that includes a romantic kiss on Lake Baikal. He had a girlfriend, broke up with her, and we started dating. I love him very much. You would like him. He is into drama, is a literary studies major, and writes short stories.
I miss you too.

Not to mention the floral bed spread put on the bed. My mom laughed at me, as I had told her it was fine if she turned it into the guest bedroom - its funny the sentiment we place on "our" childhood rooms, especially after returning to the comforts of home after a long time away, and I think its something parents can't fully grasp. And even though my room was redecorated after I had given consent, I am still nostalgic for the place that was once totally and completely mine ( ... )
