I hated trick-or-treating as a kid. I went because I loved candy, but I hated the actual act of it because I was so shy.

I wasn't fond of the door-to-door, and the candy was a plus. I just love(d). The sensation, the palpable excitement in the air. Still gets me.

I love it now because my kids get so excited and I get to dress them up and they have fun. It's great. We always go out with my best friend & her husband and son. Here & by their house (different trick-or-treat times).

My favourite holiday?

Summer holidays. =P

Honestly I wasn't picky growing up. Christmas, New Years and birthdays were really the only things my family really celebrated in any great way. We did Halloween only sporadically.

Seriously though. I'm still kinda pissed adults don't get summers off. I make up for it by refusing to work on my birthday.
