Easy Turkey Chili

This Easy Turkey Chili is quick and easy to make. I can have it ready to eat in about 20 minutes.

Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey (or ground beef)
1-2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 can black beans (with liquid from can)
1 can diced tomatoes (with liquid from can)
1 can corn kernels (drained)
1 small can tomato sauce (optional)
1 jalapeno pepper (diced) (optional)
1 green pepper (diced) (optional)
1 medium onion (diced) (optional)

Optional toppings:
shredded cheese
salsa

    Instructions
  1. If using jalapeno pepper, green pepper and onion, saute these for a 3-4 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Brown turkey or beef in pan and drain off fat after browned.
  3. Add chili powder and ground cumin and stir.
  4. Add everything else to the pan (green pepper, onions, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and corn kernels) and stir.
  5. You could simmer until most of the liquid has evaporated, but it's pretty much ready to eat once your patience wears out.
  6. Serve over potatoes or nacho chips or on their own. Or put them in tortillas to make burritos.
