Figuring out the Bane*Timeline

So the episode guide for Evil Plans is up and apparently there's a catch to this episode:

It takes place after 'Holocron Heist', but before 'Hostage Crisis'. So sayeth the episode guide:

This episode takes place some time after "Holocron Heist," which saw the destruction of Todo 360. Todo was rebuilt off-screen by Anakin Skywalker after the ( Read more... )

This is goddamn bullshit. Not your observations, those are thorough and actually help a great deal, so thank you for that. The skipping around is absolute chaos and completely unnecessary. Oh season 3.... and we had such high hopes for you.

I guess part of me is glad Todo got rebuilt, because I don't know if I was the only one but I was kinda sad when he went kablewy. Seeing him in Evil Plans kinda put a smile on my face. But why in the hell would he go back to our favorite crazy blue bastard after he did something like that? Unless he's like an abused girlfriend that keeps following the drunken, abusive boyfriend because she thinks he's just "misunderstood." If that's the case then I think I can get behind it.

I normally don't care about "The Timeline" for the most part, but this season -so far that we've seen- just seems to be "Well, this took place before X". That's all well and good, but that sort of disjointed narrative is annoying after a while.

I actually didn't mind Todo either. It's great that Bane has a foil to work with that isn't forced or anything like that.

It really feels like they're just making it up as they go along... so many things they're "stating" now contradict things they officially "stated" last season, and the season before that. It's like, they think they're being clever, then after the fact have to scramble because they weren't that clever after all and they've now messed things up. It's getting ooooooold.

I'm starting to get that impression too. The fact there's so many little plotholes when you try to put the episodes together -and not just the Bane ones, though between Anakin not recognizing him in 'Hostage Crisis' and Bane getting his previously impounded ship back in 'Evil Plans'- makes it even worse. =/

The timeline is all kinds of insanity. Every week it's jumping all over the place.

It's ok doing a flashback once or twice but every episode of season three feels out of order which gets so confusing.
