[He curls a little tighter and finds he can feel Hal's heartbeat. It's strangely calming though it is going a bit fast. He eases up in case he's making his friend nervous.]
[James wraps himself tightly around Hal's hand, most of his lower half around one hand while his head still rests in the palm of the other. He's gone fairly stiff with fear.]

[Bravely he picks up the small snake. It looks like it's still just a baby snake.]

[But it does feel nice and he finds himself resting his head in Hal's palm, eyes still closed.]

[He's not really sure just when the heck he'd gotten so sleepy, but he is. His grip around Hal's arm is gradually loosening.]

[He's uncoiled a bit too much and suddenly starts falling off Hal's arm.]
