[Raven doesn't know why she's suddenly in a plain white room, when just a minute ago she swore she was facing up against Snake. Or rather, she had been in white room anyway and posing for him as he snapped off pictures. But it had been more like an endless space. They were two different things, last time Raven checked.]

[Rose didn't know where she was. She was certain that she wasn't inside of Roy's house, yet she had no memory of ever leaving his house. Or any memory of walking into this room even. It was just a haze. Almost like the times you enter a room and completely forgot why you were in there in the first place, except on a much greater scale.]

Roy? John?

[Rose made her way to the door of the room, looking out into the unfamiliar hallway.]

[Rose was doing her very best to catch on to what he was talking about but... it was a lot to take in.]

How long have we been together here?

[It saddened her, being reunited with Jack for so long but not remembering a thing of it.]

Is John here too?

A few months.

[Unfortunately, Jack's ability to empathize is just not enough to realize how much this must be for her to hear at once.]

John...

[He frowns, turning away from the coffee pot.] No.

[Better than explaining how he had been here and disappeared. Rose hadn't slept or ate well while worrying about her son, but now that he recognizes John most certainly isn't in the Nexus any longer, there's no need to continue that unhealthy way of life.] He's safe, don't worry.

But if we're both here, then John's alone?

[She leaned her elbows against her knees, her hands clasped in front of her mouth. If Jack was calm then she shouldn't worry too, right?]

What I've heard is that time freezes in the outside world when we're here... so even if we spend two years here, it won't even be a moment there. He'll be fine.

[At least, assuming what he heard was correct. He really, really hopes so. If not, then he'll have to hope someone working at the hospital calls Hal and takes him to stay with him until they return.]

[She seemed visibly relieved at that, her shoulders relaxing. She had to trust Jack was right. Getting up, she made her way to the kitchen area.]

This is so hard to take in. The last thing I remember is finding out you were helping Snake in South America. I was thrilled to hear that you were alright, but I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon.

But now I'm here... we're together.

[Reaching the kitchen, she leaned against the counter, watching Jack intently, like she was afraid that if she looked away, he would disappear again.]

I can't help but worry I'm going to wake up any second now.
