[Ocelot prowls into the office confidently. He had heard through the grapevine that Doctor Emmerich's father was in this building, but little did he believe he would have any reason to talk to him.]
[Don't ask how or why she's in here okay. When Nastasha half-catches sight of Huey working in this lab, the woman approaches and speaks casually yet hurriedly. There's a cigarette between her lips as she looks more to the papers in her own hands than the doctor
( ... )
[Huey turned in his wheelchair to acknowledge the woman. He was getting tired of being associated with his son... Though now that Nastasha had entered into his lab, he was highly curious. Just what exactly was this woman and Hal planning?]
I suppose now would be a bad time to butt in and introduce myself.
[The woman blinks; finally taking note of the wheelchair, as well as the (very) slight differences in physical appearance.]
.......
Ah. Doctor... Huey Emmerich? [She studies his face once more before finally slipping her own hand into his; shaking firmly with thin fingers.] ...My apologies.
[His own hand was a little puffier and had a sturdy, firm grip compared to his son. He shook Nastasha's hand, though couldn't help but be reminded of a certain someone, now that he was able to actually see the woman who had practically ordered him about.]
Y-Yes.
[He straightened in his seat.] Yes. Boy, how many beautiful women does Hal know?
[Otacon had been wandering around the nexus in search of spare parts--the generator was done, but Solidus still wanted him to build that communication device. It seemed like an interesting challenge, one Otacon was kind of looking forward to.]
[Either way, he found himself in the same lab as his father while on the quest for mechanical components. Otacon approached just a little less awkwardly than he had the last couple of times.]
[Shuffling away the designs, Huey pulled out a blueprint of a computer instead.]
The advancement in technology over the past fourty years is truly inspiring. I... I'm still trying to get my head around the idea of a portable computer.

[That was until his arm had been sliced off.]

I have come into possession of blueprints from the future. My son built a robot just like I have.
It's far more impressive than I could have ever imagined...
[He pulled up the blueprints to show Big Boss the comparison between his designs and Hal's.]
I'm combining them both together and removing the weakpoints of both designs to ensure a flawless build.

[A more pleased sound couldn't possibly come from Big Boss; he already seems impressed.]
Good.
