To sleep, perchance to...huh?

The first indicator that you've been commuting for too long (and too much): You have a dream that takes place on a train, and you recognize a stranger from your daily route home.

The second indicator that you've been commuting for too long: You know the stranger's name, having overheard conversations in the course of your many trips home. You also ( Read more... )

I'll trade you one of my pirate or raptor dreams in exchange for a normal one, how bout that?

Also, the other night I dreamt that Lex Luthor had kidnapped me and was threatening to kill me because I had bred a series of tiny pocket-sized dinosaurs. He had two lackeys played by Danny DeVito and that guy who plays Newman on Seinfeld, and I broke away running while they chased me and my pocket dinosaur. It led to a big underwater swimming adventure and stuff while Boothe and other people were trying to find a way to thwart the villains.

Once again your fevered machinations put me to shame. I usually can't even remember my dreams in that kind of detail, so even if I'm having zany adventures the likes of yours, I might not know it.

Oh, funny you mention Danny DeVito. Apparently he threw out the first pitch at a Phillies game recently, with laughably poor results. I haven't seen a video, but there are pictures out there:

Someone pointed out that maybe if he had arms instead of those stubs, he'd do better. Oh, and Newman was played by Wayne Knight, who of course was a baddie in Jurassic Park. Oooh, dream synergy.

Animal does have the added benefit of being...not dead. He also now looks somewhat like my dad, which is amusing.

I've been commuting by train for nearly a year and a half and I haven't had that dream yet though I know it's coming. I chalk it up to the fact I sleep mainly on the way home.
