Resto Shaman Gear List

A friend was picking my brains about resto shaman (a WoW thing) healing, including gear, and since I was tired and not particularly wanting to move from my comfortable chair ANYWAY, I put together a list of gear from heroics, quests and craftables that are within reach of a new 80.

Honestly, once you're at 80, I wouldn't look at the blue stuff at all unless you somehow go more than 3 or 4 weeks without seeing any of the epic items. The epic ones are so easy to get and there's so many it's hard to suggest anything else. But grab it if you see it and you don't have anything better; focus your farming efforts on the epic items. Make sure to hit the ICC 5 mans every day as they have the most bang/buck

I thought about adding a comment about getting T9 -- the elemental helm and chest are better-itemized than the resto versions -- but I figured I'd thrown enough at readers as is, and that'd stray into badge gear territory, which I really didn't want to mess with beyond totems.

(It's for Rhaze, who knows how to mess with the system but I wound up making it more of a general newbie list)

This is an excellent list and coupled with your advice and m00t's something I might even make use of on Narukh!

Been considering going Resto for my off spec, and already have 4 T9 for my elemental set, so that's good to know that I can recycle some of my gear. Do you think the Mace of Purified Flame would be okay for a healer?

Yes, the mace is nicely itemized; it's just difficult to get a Hilt.
