Interesting. Wilkie's naivity is a surprise to me. He comes across to me as someone much smarter, who would have written these parts out in a weary and sardonic style.

The limited coverage I'd seen him immediately after the election. It was like he was taking complex subjects and simplifying them for the masses for short sound bites. Though now I'm wondering if that was just the level of thinking he was operating at...
