As promised, I went and saw the candidates for Ginninderra at the Belconnen Library. Of course, I can't claim to be an unbiased observer here, so remember to compensate for my prejudices.

I have been repeatedly impressed by Mary Porter's responsiveness to community, it really is amazing and I've seen it happen time and time again.
My only concern with some of the independents is I wonder where they are getting some of their financial backing... some could be bank rolled by larger parties to transfer preferences, it would be interesting to know where the preferences will flow.
Disclosure of funding is now required, fortunately.
