I like rare fandom recs! (And, uh, not-so-rare fandom recs :) ) I LOVE the solar system fic, it's the best thing that's happened to me all day. Aw!

Dude, yeah, a space fic challenge would definitely be awesome! I don't know how to contact a wide enough variety of people outside my own circle, though. But, like, the fic you linked was an entry for picfor1000, so in theory we could do something similar. Perhaps involving APOD pics, like artword did once. Aw, man, now I really want space fic! :(

Hmm, I guess I might add an additional 'fandom:anthropomorphic' tag to it. But I'm keeping the 'geology' tag as I'm partial to knowing *what's* being anthropomorphised. (I think it comes of spending time in SGA fandom, where anthropomorphic crackfic is an entire subgenre. Oh, SGA, how are you so crackish? :) ).
