Thank you so much for the rec! And I completely agree about that detail of Shawn's characterization; it had me cracking up for ages after I saw that episode. (I also love how overall he's got such a soft spot for animals, like bunnies and the poor, defenseless fish Henry's always trying to get him to kill, N'AWWW, &SHAWN;.)

HE REALLY JUST WANTS TO RIDE A DOLPHIN!

I love how this show embraces both silliness and seriousness and is serious about the silly. And also how there's fuzzy rabbits! And Shawn and Gus plan to live next door to each other with a pool going across both of their back yards! And then there's the Mr Yang episodes too, which clearly are much less with the ridiculous and much more with the seriousness (but they still manage to sneak the occasional silly in).
