Aw, you know I love you! :) Let's see what I can think of before the mushiness becomes overwhelming. You are kind and supportive and true. I love that we have similar interests, especially in the less common things. I love that when I'm flustered and trying to find a justification for why I have a fondness for card catalogues you tell me I'm being silly and that no justification is needed. I do not love that we live far away from each other! :( *hugs*

And I'll always be grateful you for the fact that you believed in me enough to get me to believe in myself long enough to start writing for fun. For your amusement, here's my thought process at the time:
Winkingstar: Aw, c'mon, I'm sure you'll be fine! And I promise I'll beta it... /coaxing voice
Me: But writing! It's hard! And quite possibly evil!
Me: But telling stories!
Me: Haaaard and I'm bad at it!
Me: Winkingstar doesn't think so!
Me: She hasn't ever seen anything I've written! Maybe I suck!
Me: *thwaps me on nose* She said she believes in you! And she seems like a polite person

It's been wonderful to know that what I have written thus far has been well received, it gives me confidence that I do actually have a handle on these characters. And I'll actually say something nice about you later, but now brain has oozed out ears and that's too much thinking.

RE: the 'it's been a while' -- gah, I know, and I'm so sorry to pull the, "Hey, awesome to meet you IRL, now I'mma disappear for several months" thing. I'm preemptively enacting a New Year's resolution to actually read (& comment) on my flist everyday, because 1) I enjoy it and miss doing it, and 2) day-by-day, it doesn't take much time, but then when I wander off for a month, it turns into this big Thing that I shy away from doing. Silly!

Hey, no worries! And I mean that! I've had to do it enough myself that I understand that sometimes people wander away and wander back and it doesn't mean anything. Plus, now you're going to be around more and that's great! :)

I know what you mean by it becoming this overwhelming monster-- I've been not really reading my flist for maybe a fortnight or so (I lost track somewhere in the middle) and I'm afraid to look at my LJ flist because my DW reading page is already overwhelming (and usually there's about four times as many posts on LJ as DW).
