i did love the 1st 2 seasons of battle star, once the 3rd season came out things got weird. starbuck got all strange and becoming that athena chick, just a story i wasnt understanding. i am curious how things are now though.
I've watched Entourage since Day 1 on HBO and am in love with it. Weeds is an awesome show, too.
Have you head of Dexster or Californication? They are on showtime. Californication stars David Duchovny and Dexter is a First Person perspective about a man who's a serial killer but with excellent character chemisrty and a lot of dry but funny humor.

I have seen the episode of Californication where the main character goes to steal a dog back for a woman to find out it wasnt her dog. the writing seems pretty witty. i guess thats next on my list after the Tudors.
The first season of Weeds is good but it goes downhill pretty fast near the end of the second season. I'm still watching it but I'm not sure why.
Battlestar Galactica is probably the best show on TV right now.
Dexter is great. The second season was just incredible. Lots of tension.
Californication would fill out my list. I went into it thinking it would be cheesy psuedo-porn. The first couple of episodes go that way but the writing really stands out.
what!? I thought weeds got better the second season...less like "THE OC" gone bad. They even got rid of the crappy emo music. Eh the brother in law's porno story was crappy,for some reason I think the writers decided a bunch of sex would help the ratings? Heck I think everyone was doing it.
I did like Battlestar but season 3 messed it up for me. I need to catch it on dvd, watching that show with commercials is a nightmare.
Someone else just mentioned Californication so that is on my list now too.
Weeds just starts to go way over the top, and not in a good way. I'm still watching it though. I'm just not sure why.
BSG did lose some steam going into season 4. Season for isn't as good as the first two seasons but I get the feeling it might be leading up to something really cool. Thats probably just me hoping it doesn't get lame though.
If you didn't like the porno side story in Weeds, Californication might be a bit much. The first few episodes really do lean a bit much on the 'pretty girls having sex with mulder' thing. It does kinda go up and down through out the season (no pun intended). Overall, I really cared about the characters and the sarcasm was great at times.
Give Dexter a try too. People seem split on the first season but the second season is damn good tv.
