"You Can't Do That O'Hara."
OMG!!!!!! Not the greatest ep of Psych, but we got a very delicious Lassiet moment. This ep was full of emo Shawn, though. My poor Shawn/Gus ship took a beating tonight. :(
First things first, DID YOU SEE LASSITER'S FACE WHEN O'HARA CAME WALKING INTO THE STATION?!!! OMG!!! His mouth fell open. He was completely adorable. Need screencap NOW! So freaking adorable. Notice how he was just completely impressed and in awe of her, while Shawn and Gus had on horny faces. Lassiter's face said, "Wow, she's a goddess," while Shawn's said, "Mmm, must get her in bed," and Gus's said, "Damn! She looks good! Not as good as me though." Bwahahahaha. Oh Gus. Anyway, Lassie followed her like a puppy dog, and his OMG, his voice when he said, "You can't do that O'Hara." !!!!!!! It was all low and breathy and perplexed. He's desperate to keep himself from being attracted to her, BUT HE CAN'T HELP IT! AND SHE'S NOT MAKING IT EASY FOR HIM! OMG! And she totally gets a kick out of impressing Lassiter. You know that strut of hers was all for him. She knows that if she can affect him, then that means that she genuinely looked damn good. Had it just been Shawn, it wouldn't have been as special for her. IT WAS ALL FOR THE LASSITER! Oh! And notice how they put the focus on Lassiter's reaction, and he's the one that she talks with, not Shawn. Had this been season 1, we would have had a sickeningly awful scene of Shawn making a charming comment to her. BUT SHE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT HIM! SHE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT SHAWN! It is all about the Lassiter, baby. And she instantly had to justify why she bought the clothes when he said something, BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT IT WAS ALL FOR HIM! And then her smile when she noticed his tie, and his complete embarrassment, SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!! She's the only one that noticed. THEY ARE SO MADE FOR EACH OTHER!
As for Shawn and Gus, this episode showed their bad side. Gus was incredibly selfish, and was awful for leaving Shawn out just to hang with his model friends. Pfft. Jerk. But then Shawn cock blocked him at the end, which was very cold, but... Gus kind of deserved it. But that was extremely selfish of Shawn, especially since Gus begged him not to do it, and Shawn didn't really need to put on a performance since there was no one to arrest. Such an anti-climactic ending, and Shawn didn't get the glorious praise that he so wanted. Instead, he was left all alone. And then he finds out that his dad is seriously dating someone, and this leaves him feeling even more alone. :'( But now we know what happened to Shawn's mother! For some reason I thought she was dead, didn't know that she left them. When did she leave them, though? We never see the mother in the flashbacks. But if she left when Shawn was still a kid, then I have even more respect for Henry for loving his son so much and putting all he had into raising him. He could have easily wallowed in self pity, but instead he sucked it up and focused on loving Shawn. I <3 Henry.
