Anyway, just finished watching the Russian version, and luckily it got back to the original script after about 25 or so episodes where it did its own thing (which angered me for one simple reason: they kept Andrey and Katya apart for far too long. I'm still here! It's just that my brain is addled by Yo Soy Betty, La Fea, because it's the awesomest show ever. For some reason I have been very disenchanted with my usual fandoms (probably because everything is in repeats at the moment)

How many episodes were Armando/Betty apart?

Did you know that it was originally shown in Colombia as a half hour series? Right there ten eppies becomes 20. So glad it was repackaged for /foreign US TV.

On the YouTube channel I was frequenting, they were separated from 112 through 127, so, about 15 episodes, which means it would have probably been 30 in the half hour format. Good god, I would have gone crazy had I had to wait an entire month to see them together again. But I actually found Armando's scenes to be pretty fascinating while Betty was away, because he was still desperately in love with her through it all. It was when he went back to Marcela that I got angry, but I did understand his reasoning, it's just... you know, he was never happy with Marcela to begin with, but I get that he was trying to forget Betty by going back to his old life, and he did legitimately regret screwing up what he could have had with Marcela (until they started making each other miserable again). Betty's scenes were rather boring, but then again, it was nice to see her healing. Also, Armando is really dreamy in that scene in the water where Betty is letting him go. I love that even in her letting go fantasy, Armando is super hot (and looking ( ... )

Just curious if you're interested in watching all possible versions. Here in the Philippines, we have our own (though admittedly, the Columbian version really is the best there is.) 'Cause I'm rewatching it and squeeing all over the place.

Oh, I am interested in pretty much all the versions that I can get my hands on. I chose the Russian one since it was supposed to be a more serious take on the story rather than a comical one, and... it was the only one (other than the Colombian one) that I could find in its entirety on YouTube. I've heard that people have really been enjoying the version from the Philippines, so I would definitely be interested in seeing it! I've actually watched quite a few fanvids of that one.
