The Tale of Iroh is officially one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen in my life.

I've watched this song at least 5 times now, and I cry harder every time. OH MY GOD. IROH. I wish the entire sequence was on YouTube, because to get the full impact you need to see how utterly wonderful this man is, but even just that little bit is ( Read more... )

Giles. Buffy.

Everytime.

I just...I don't even know what to say anymore. They just encompass so much of my heart, my wants, my desires. I don't know, I don't know. You know when you just find the one. The one manifestation that can wind you, just from a look that is shared. From a touch. That gives you goose-pimples. That makes you cry and squee all at once.

That is your heart.

THEY ARE THIS FOR ME. HANDS DOWN. We search for this...and I have found my Holy Grail. It sounds dramatic, I know. But it's what my fandom heart feels. What my heart alone feels.

LOVE. ♥

Oh, dude, I totally feel you. THEY ARE THIS FOR ME, TOO. I can't get over how much they make me feel. I've been passionate over ships before, but this one just seems to surpass EVERYTHING that I've ever obsessed over in my life. They just get under my skin and refuse to leave.

Exactly. Like...breath-stopping, gasping, grasping love. And the unrequited two-way street. The want but not want. HOW WRONG IT IS. Their fight against their bound destinies, because of their belief that the other deserves better even though, after all their battles, they are what each other needs.

And they can't accept that. It's of such a grandiose magnitude: their love and need for each other. They are each other's survival and it's a responsibility both run away from.

They run, but they can't forget it nor fight it nor change it. It is who they are. They encompass the Slayer. They ARE just that.

Remember when they sat super close and mocked Wesley all the time?

I LOVE THIS SCENE SO EFFING MUCH. They just reran this one on MTV like last week, and Buffy and Giles are so made of combined win in this moment that I can't even handle it. LOVE THEM UTTERLY.

Most romantic TV moment ever, y/y?

YES! Damn it, I think this is my favourite romantic Office moment ever! Because, um, he is serenading her with ABBA in three-part harmony (long-distance harmony!) with adorable earnestness and I just love how even Angela, cold dead Angela, is just all aflutter and melting and you can tell so perfectly from the look on her face. I love Angela Kinsey! I wish she still had nuanced stuff like this to do on the show, she was so good at it! Or ... any stuff to do on the show! (Seriously. Where ... did she go?)

And I dig both of these memes and haven't done them in awhile, so this is me! Commentin'!

You know, when Andy/Angela was happening, I remember being not happy with it, but I find that now I only look back on it with fondness. That was Andy Bernard romancing a lady with flair! That was a romance made of pure humor and adorableness! I... I kind of miss it. But not really, because the show dragged out the triangle for far too long, but had Angela never cheated on him, I probably would have ended up loving them as a married couple.

The Tale of Iroh makes me tear up so much! And not to spoil you or anything, but they do replace Mako with Greg Baldwin, so.

And I'm totally with you on Sokka/Toph. In a "when they're both grown-ups" sort of way. Toph is AWESOME squared. :D

And your meme answers: made of win. (And honestly, the show totally screwed the Barney/Robin shippers over, so it's probably better that you didn't like them. THIS IS WHY I DON'T SHIP CANON, DAMMIT.)

OH, THANK GOODNESS IROH DOESN'T DIE. I was so worried there. I looked on IMDb but I couldn't find that they replaced Mako with anyone else, so I just figured that Iroh would die. I haven't noticed a change in the voice, so perhaps I just wasn't paying attention.

Sokka/Toph! I am loving them more and more with each ep. They would definitely be an awesome "in the future" ship.

It's not that I didn't like Barney/Robin, I think it's just that I was never too invested in them, and then they were totally weighing the show down once they actually got together. It's like the show had no clue what to do with them, and so they completely ruined any awesome that had been there before. BUMMER. I feel so bad for the shippers.

Buffy and Giles. Giles and Buffy. Oh, be still, my heart.

They're the reason I wish I could write so I could tell their story over and over again. Just the amount of glorious angst these two produce makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Besides, as much as I believe that they should end up together, I don't think it would be easy for them to make the transition from their already complex relationship to a romantic relationship. In fact, I believe it would and should be hard and messy.

Gah! What is wrong with me? Why do I want to torture my favorite characters?

Ha! Oh, dude, don't worry, I am so with you. That's why I sometimes find fluffy B/G fics hard to swallow. It wouldn't be easy for them to transition. There would still be insecurity on both sides - abandonment issues, age issues, friendship turning into romance issues, etc. Not to mention all the resentments in their past that they never bothered to work through.
