The Other Side of the Well An Alternative History
When Kagome left , Inuyasha continued his work. Every so often she would return with food. Miso soup and rice for breakfast. Ramen for lunch and oden for supper. Inuyasha was grateful for the food,but he thought that Kagome would spend her time furnishing the house.
Instead after Kagome left people kept showing up. Shippou was there to direct them. If Shippou said it was Ok it probably was. He did not have time to worry about such thing s if he was going to complete the roof today.
The sun was setting when he finally finished and went inside Inside the house was completely different A kotatsu sat where the fire pit had up against the wall were a refrigerator, a stove and a sink and a microwave. Behind a screen was a bath and a toilet. On top of Kagome's desk was her computer and a lamp A chest of drawers was beside it
Sleepng in the corner on a futon was Kagome covered by her bedspread. He was too tired to think. Pulling back the covers he hesitated. Shrugging off his haori he covered her with it and crawled into bed
Inuyasha shivered. She stole the overs again. He stole them back and went to fix breakfast. Kagome woke with a start Where was her bedspread? Why was she clad in Inuyasha's haori? Where was Inuyasha?
"Took you long enough, blanket thief. The sun is up Have some breakfast"
Kagome stared at the cup ramen and smiled. It appeared that neither of them could do without the conveniences of the modern era. So long as she lived in the house that Inuyasha built and slept by Inuaysha's side she knew she would be happy no matter where she lived even if he was a blanket thief
