I was wondering what happened to you.. :)

Interesting. I wonder if Bush'll let it go unpunished. :) Doesn't the Patriot Act basically by-pass this or any other attempt at free will?

its not really bush their mad at, its years and years (decades even) the federal government imposing things on the states that they have no right to impose. and im trying to be unbiased here but when you here the right wing scream about states rights...this is what they are talking about.

awww, how cute, oklahoma thinks that the constitution still means something.

i'm curious to see how the feds will respond to this.

yeah me too.

if they get feisty i am so moving there. Montana has threatened secession seriously in the past few months if the whole 2nd amendment thing goes bad. but that will take about another month to come to fruition.

Eh, there's been a Supreme Court precedent on the books since 1931 (United States v. Sprague) that pretty much declared that the Tenth Amendment carried about zilch for weight, so unless the Oklahoma state legislature wants to spend years upon years battling it up the Federal Court ladder, I don't see much coming from this at all.

yeah, still i salute them for doing it. and i dont know about OK but i know a lot of states have a contract with the fed stating that they can secede if the fed violates that contract. so who knows they might take it pretty far.
