Tommy hates planes, and today's flight was no exception. Oh, he understands the aerodynamical principles that make them work, and he's not particularly worried about going down in flames. The knock wakes Jase up from a doze, but he's far from minding that fact. He is so completely bored in this place, that he would pay five million dollars for something to happen.

"Yeah!" he calls. His voice sounds both surprised and very happy that Tommy showed up.

Tommy opens the door and peeks into the room, giving a cautious smile before walking inside.

"Hey. I didn't wake you up, did I? I just... There was a storm back in California and the phone line cut out, so I didn't really get to hear what was wrong or anything, and I was worried and I have a three-day weekend, so..."

He's babbling, but perhaps he's entitled to.

"God, Jason, what happened?"

"Pneumonia," Jase says, sheepishly. He has -reason- to be sheepish, but he's going to spare the details if it's at all possible. "That's why I kinda disappeared entirelly on you. I'm sorry about that."

He really is.

"Pneumonia? How the hell did you get pneumonia? God, Jase, I was afraid that you'd-"

-Run away from me again,- his mind finishes for him, but he doesn't say it aloud. Tommy shakes his head and takes a deep breath, walking over to Jason's bed.

"I was worried," he says again. "How did you get sick enough to land here? What did you do? You never get sick."

He's absently fluffing his friend's pillows as he talks.
