(a) Um, that she's like me. No, really. First of all, she looks like me, which is entirely superficial. But we also share a lot of the same traits: a semi-precocious, talented, mature young woman in a man's world who can be extremely insecure and sometimes has a really hard time knowing how to deal with other people and doesn't really understand the basic nature of "feelings" and how to express them. (b) Motivated, talented, efficient (c) Desperate need for acceptance/approval (d) Actually, it depends. Normally I find Quistis very, very easy to write. However, if it's a bad day, we have serious arguments inside my head problems. (e) Well, Shine Like Gold is all about her, but I don't necessarily think it's my best portrayal - although maybe the first chapter is still pretty good. HNtDB has also been successful. (f) Um, all the time. Finishing HNtDB, and my cracked-out Sorceress FFVIII Prequel.

Oh god, that reminds me of the Sorceressy connector story that I've redone the format on like five billion times. I know what I want to say, I have ALL THE META but goddamn if I don't know how to put it in a story format.
I might have to do something very strange, as I really want to tell this story. XD And now I've got the politician!Rinoa thingy in my head after being disappointed on a review of this story and wanting to make FF8 make sense.
But yes, I wanted to jump on the Quistis one, as I was the first poster. XD
I know what you mean about writing vs planning - I've got all of the meta worked out for my FF8 crackverse Prequel, honestly, I've got pages and pages of notes, but when it comes down to writing it in a way that doesn't read like a history book, I'm boned.
(a) Snark. Basically. Ok, so I'll admit it in public: I wasn't a huge Seifer fan in the game. Basically, I thought he was a cock. However, when I got more into FFVIII fandom, I started to kind of like his potential as a character. (b) That bizarre sense of honour that tells you he's not really a bad guy. (c) Rebellious attitude; being a cock (d) I actually find him really hard to write!! If I'm just going for snark, then yes, I can do sarcasm until the cows come home. But I find the balance of heroic knight / asshole / broken soul / arrogant prick really, really hard to reach. Plus, I don't think I've ever been able to quite understand his motivation, which doesn't help. (e) Not really sure -- probably one of the snarky oneshots on brokenprism (f) He'll be showing up in the FFVIII Crackverse, and I am sure irish_ais will be tempting me to write him again and again.

(a) Um, I loved her instantly. I usually like girl characters the best, and so far all FFIV had to offer was Rosa (yawn). And so when Rydia came in and saved the freaking day I was already cheering for her. And her character is so awesomely endearing without being perfect. Plus, she's easily the most powerful character in the game, pure-damage-causing-wise. (Yeah, I'll say it.) (b) Optimistic; willing to overlook small things for a larger goal (c) Easily frustrated; quick to anger (and watch out when you make her angry! Y HI THAR TITAN) (d) She's probably the easiest character for me to write. There's enough depth to her that no matter what mood I'm in, something matches. (e) Um. There are a lot of smaller pieces in brokenprism that I think, together, make up a lot of her character. As for something specific, um I don't know. (f) I may or may not be collaborating with rosencrantz as we speak Let's just say, I have plenty of themes for mount_ordeals already.
