Thanks to everybody for their wise words on yesterday's entry -- this is a very thinky-time for me, and I appreciate all the kindness and the suggestions/advice.

Today I ended up - unplanned - talking to both my boss and his boss about the situation. And there's some tentative hope on the horizon ( Read more... )

C1, C2, C3.

I wasn't checking my LJ yesterday, I just happened to decide to check it just now and saw your posts. I'm glad you talked to your bosses about it, because if it's killing your happiness and your soul trudging along through work then things are going bad.

ON THE PLUS SIDE TODAY IS CAPS LOCK DAY. NO SERIOUSLY, TODAY IS A HOLIDAY KNOWN AS CAPS LOCK DAY. YOU ARE NOW REQUIRED TO POST ONLY IN CAPS LOCK FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.

Every project would be better if it was about cookies!

I admire the fact that you have been able to keep going with this this long. Undefined goals and directions make me twitchy as hell. Delegation is a wonderful thing though if you don't trust people I would make a clear list of what you are delegating and when/how it is to be done so you have it to fall back on if necessary. Copies of emails are also good so that you can hold them accountable if need be. A spread sheet with jobs, dates, expectations and such might help as well as you would have the pieces together in one place with notes like when you emailed, spoke with said person.

*hugs* I hope everything works out and can have some of the breathing room/structure you need.
