I'm not surprised that your fire for writing lit up with something not Final Fantasy or Sherlock. As much as we love these series, there comes a point where it starts to feel stale to work in the same universe over and over and over. You've explored all the big things you want to explore, you want to try something different. It's why I seem to keep writing fics of all different games and animes instead of writing fewer multi-chapter stories.

It's also why I can't seem to bring myself to write some ideas I've had for new FF4 and FF6 fics. I've done a lot with FF4 already.
