Right now I have 533 unread emails in my Sev Inbox, and another 200 or so in my [realname] Inbox. My email situation is a mess and has been since lab, earlier this year, when I completely lost any kind of timely control over anything (and once it was already a disaster, I had zero fucks to give about organizing it ( Read more... )

I know! I am awful at organizing, especially because I can't get to email on my work computer and thus do a lot of (unorganized) emailing on my smartphone throughout the day, which makes for ALSO NOT GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL THINGS. I'm hoping this improves with a better phone. We'll see. 500+ emails is bad even for me though.
