Itunes meme:

1. Put your iTunes on shuffle and take the first 25 songs it gives you.
2. Link to the lyrics lol, not happening.
3. Let your friends assign you a song to write a drabble to. -- drabble: 100 words. I will try to stick to this so I actually finish.

((so why care for these petty obsessions? your designer heart still beats with common blood))

The bitch of it is, McCoy knows there's no other way. Nothing modern science can offer, anyway, that will fix her up quite like zydrate. And ain't that the rub? When you've got no other options, the choice between life and death is pretty damn simple. Even if your definition of living gets a little...

Twisted.

Yeah, funny how that works when you're constantly anesthetized, McCoy scoffs as he digs through to find a fresh enough body. Fuckin’ hilarious how the difference between animal and human have blurred until he’s not so certain he shouldn’t be calling himself a veterinarian. It hasn’t ever felt like defiling human remains, especially not now; no, now it’s like a kid’s treasure hunt, and you have to push past all the garbage to reach the prize ( ... )

Oh I'm so tempted to choose the other Repo! song for you write more repo!verse... but I think I need to pick Boys Night Out's Medicating because I love that song. It's probably more Mira appropriate anyway.

“-And the fact of the matter is before I met you, Doctor, I relied on myself for safety.”

“Then it’s a miracle you’re even here.” A hawk swooped down a hundred feet in front of them. There was nothing from them to it but flat land and cactus plants, and McCoy knew exactly what Spock isn’t saying.

He sighed and let the sounds of dusk fill the craft as Spock drove them back to Jim and the others. An animal howled, as distant as the caves but sound carries far out here. Bones savored the sound; in space everything was muffled, another unearthly reminder.

And then, about half an hour from the beacon when he knows he only has a little time with Spock cornered, he just blurts it out.

“Y’know, before I met you, I didn’t have quite so many near-death experiences ( ... )

“You believe I am engaging in reckless behavior, Doctor, yet you fail to see the broader context. While my actions may remain constant, the intent behind such methods could not differ more. You drew a spurious conclusion by assuming I still think as I did when we first met.”

“I.” McCoy had to process that. His eyes followed the landscape zipping by as he rapidly tried to translate Logic into Standard. “What’s changed in your thinking, then? How are your actions any less reckless?”

“I did not say they were any less reckless,” Spock condescended, “but my risk is lessened because they are calculated risks. The tactical advantage is mine in those situations, having planned for them and thought out my course of action.”

“You wanna talk about controlled environments-”

“Please let me finish my point, Doctor.” The engine rumbled underneath them. In the dimming light, it was getting harder to see each other.

“Well get to it soon, wouldjya? I need to know your point ends in you not leaving me!” His confession echoed across the desert, ( ... )
