Molecular cooking and a rock

I've been interested in trying out molecular gastronomy techniques ever since I stumbled across this site with this FABULOUS POST. She does other fantastic mindblowing versions of delicious food.

FemmeCity was a bit meh. They were just in 1 hall of the convention centre and you could cover all the booths in about 30 minutes. But I didn't really have lots of money to spend. So I suppose if you had more disposable income there would be things there to make a dint in your wallet.

Coooooooool! Oh man that stuff is so stylish, I kind of can't believe it even exists

but the mention of the word agar reminds me of the time I incubated cultures from my pet's mouths in chocolate and blood agar our basement's spare room and the entire room smelled like rotten socks for MONTHS
NOT THE MOST APPETIZING SMELL

My introduction to agar was through my favourite childhood dessert so the idea of using agar for cultures was quite amusing to me. :)
