Oh, this sounds yummy! Do you slice the onions into rings or chunks or does it just not even matter? :)

It probably doesn't matter, as long as they aren't very thick. I sliced them top to bottom, and I'm wondering if the pointy ends contribute to them starting to look burned. I'll may try slicing them sideways next time to compare.
