Yay, short week!

Monday was the shitty day of shit, but it ended well. I met admiringbog at Towson Town Center Mall for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and then shopping that was mostly-concentrated in Sephora, both of which are new additions to the mall along with PF Chang's, Burberry, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, and soon-to-open LUSH, Louis Vuitton and Bare Escentuals. OMG, I am laughing so hard at that cake - is that something he actually made?? Awww, it's really sweet though :)

It is! I asked for a funfetti cake that year and he was SO SWEET and got the stuff to make it. I have no earthly idea what happened to it, but it's been called The Earthquake Cake ever since. I had a small slice and we threw the rest away, and now he buys me cakes. I love him for trying, but he just is not a baker. He's a KICK ASS griller, though!

He definitely got an A for effort and A for sweetness. It was nice of him! We established from that day forward that I was the baker in the home and all's been right with our sweet treats ever since ;)

You just reminded me that I need to make an appointment to get family pictures done for Christmas too. Ugh. I hate doing that. It's so much whining from the kids (and the husband...lol) and I just dread it. I LOVE the way the pictures turn out - I am a scrapbooking freak - but I just don't like having to *go* get them!

I think we will do Walmart. Quick, easy and cheap. We used to do JCPenney or Sears but they got kind of expensive and it's just not worth it. I take TONS of pictures for EVERYTHING so I really don't need a million professional ones, just something simple.

Good luck though - make sure you share when you decide where to get them :)

We went to Picture People last year with my entire family because my Dad requested a full family photo as his birthday present in November. While we were there they also did individual family portraits of my sisters and I with our own families, so I have that up on my wall as our first professional family portrait. Ed and I both hate it, though, so we want a new one!

Ed also wants to do photo cards for Christmas this year, and while we could ask a friend to take shots for us, we don't have a nice place to take them and Ed closes his eyes and looks high in most shots, Mia rarely cooperates... I just think we're better off paying a professional. But because of the cards, I'm worried it's going to cost a small fortune.

Admiringbog recommended Sears because if you take advantage of a few of their special offers, the cards are cheaper than Picture People's would be, or you can get a CD of your images for an unknown price. I think that's probably what I'm leaning toward but wanted to see if there's something I wasn't thinking of.

You could always go to JC Penney, get the photos on CD, then use Vista Print to do the cards. It might be a bit late to get them back in time, but it could work.

Oy, so jealous of your mall selections!!! I'd have to go into San Francisco to get some of those stores! Luckily Sephora is pretty close. ;-)
