This is day 5 of ickiness. I have had sore throat, laryngitis. cough, temperature, 'gooby' (that is a technical term :).. ) eyes, headaches, sinus, aching hands, feet and joints, aching muscles, tummy bug... thought I was getting better but, no... the tummy is now wreaking its revenge on me... again.. the hands and feet are still aching. I'm buying felted wool slipper socks from Etsy - purple with dark blue toes $45. Pricey, but I hope that they last longer that one season, which is how long the home made socks I buy usually last before the soles wear through.

Poor sick you! Some anti-inflammatories might help when you are first back out of bed if you are now experiencing pain in bed. When you start moving again, you will be very stiff and sore. Hot baths and stretching too - to reacclimatize your body to vertical.
If you had a TENS machine, that would be ideal for the bed-rest pain you are experiencing now. Massage is the next best thing, or a hot bath with Epsom salts.

You can enquire at the Physio dept at your local Council about a TENS machine. Mine cost$90 from memory.

An epsom salt bath really is very good. They contain Magnesium (a great pain killer) and it is absorbed in the bath directly through the skin. In the severe chronic pain I'm in, I rely heavily on my Magnesium.

Check out http://www.koalaconventions.com.au/events/LocationEvents.aspx?Location=Perth - and the Bribane classes on a different page (tab at the top of the page) and weep. So many - I don't know how I'd ever choose! Expensive tho!

Last time I tried epsom salts, my skin came up in a rash.. I am sooo sensitive to perfumes and stuff.
