Sad news for my daughter...

as Hermie the hermit crab has died. She has taken it very well and told me that 'that is how life is'. We still have Rigel.
We think it may have been as Hermie would not go to a bigger shell. He kept going back to his old one and then stayed!

We will probably go and get 'Hermie 2' on the weekend

I had hermit crabs when I was a child. They actually liked garlic bologna. :)
