Wow, I'm still shaking. I was sitting in my room about an hour ago, right next to the window, when I heard a strange noise, rather like someone was walking around in the yard. Then I heard another, much louder noise. My first thought (and words) were something like "Shit! Move!" because some part of my brain recognized it as the sound of a tree

We checked this morning and there is some fairly severe structural damage to the roof beams above my sister's room. No word yet on whether or not the insurance will cover.

I'm glad too. We finally pulled out the branch that punctured the roof this morning, and it stopped about an inch from going through the ceiling above my sister's top bunk.
