I am heading off today to spend the weekend with Erin's family. Apparently they do all kinds of exciting Christmas get-togethers, so it should be a good time. I got her a copy of the Rent movie soundtrack which we can listen to on the drive out. The great thing about a musical is that listening to it is almost as good as seeing it if you have

Not always the case with musicals, but since RENT is an opera, it's most definitely the case. The Broadway recording is so much better though, and has more songs.

I agree with you, I was ripped when they cut Contact.

I actually like the movie track better because that is what I have seen. The two are different because the movie is optimized for the screen. I have not seen the play, so the play sound track sounds strange to me.

Longer entries are more interesting to read, I certanly don't skip them. Unless they are a rant about one topic, but this was not.

I agree with you about that not likeing the characters in Rent if you met them in real life. Most of them seem really prentntious, and I can understand (even though I don't entirly agree) where Benny is coming from.
