[date time! finally...]

Lucas has not been putting this whole date thing off at all. This should be the first fact to be noted even if it can't really be expressed in any manner aside from verbally. He hasn't been putting it off but he has been being extremely nervous about it while waiting for a time to open up. Tonight would be the first night that has actually been ( Read more... )

*and she's likely on a couch somewhere flipping through an old, rather battered book that's more something to do than something that holds actual interest -- and once she sees him, she'll just have to smile, faintly but entirely genuinely (and that book will now be gone as she sits up properly)* Lucas. Dare I inquire as to the occasion for the finery?

Excellent. *and has to brighten a little more* I haven't. I haven't seen that much of the United States, really. Just Greece and England when I'm out of Olympus.

Well, we'll have to change that, then. I grew up in L.A. and I spent about half of my childhood in D.C. Other than that, we've just traveled a lot, in and out of the United States. Dad's always thinking of places Coop and I should see for one reason or another and my father's always coming up with excuses to be anywhere but the office.

*wryly* I'm almost curious to ask if I would be allowed to see for myself exactly what sort of insanity goes on during said trips. Especially considering I have yet to meet your brother. Where else have you gone?

*makes a very slight face* Introducing you to family should be a slow process. Like one person at a time sort of slow. Unless Dad is involved. I trust him not to be an idiot or an asshole, which is more than I can say for my brother or my father respectively. *now he thinks a moment* We've visited every state and United States territory, been to Canada and Mexico plenty of times, toured England, France, Germany, Italy, various cities throughout the rest of Europe, Moscow, the Mayan and Aztec ruins of Central America, rainforests of South America, various parts of Africa with a two-month stay in Egypt when I was thirteen, the major cities of Asia and I've been to Australia for a dozen or so shows and operas that I hardly remember. *vaguely sheepish* Most of the stops were only a few days long so it's not as if I've actually seen a whole lot of most of the places.

Wonderful to have at least one family member you can say that about. Though you've met my brother, so I feel as if I should suffer through the same for you. *...and listens, looking genuinely interested* That's -- still quite a bit of travel. I've seen less of the world than I'd like to, though I obviously have plenty of time to change that.
