Had dinner  a few nights ago with my friends J, K, and L.  After considerable discussion (meaning, no one wanted to park in Greenbelt, and the suggestion of Palm Beach at the Fort met with "pwede ba sa iba na lang") we ended up at Red Kimonoa new Japanese restaurant at The Fort Strip.  The menu posted ( Read more... )

If J is 10 years younger than K, and K is 3 times as old as L, how old is L?

California Crunch??? Seriously??

Hey, does that mean you solved all those problems I sent you? And yes, seriously. It's better than Crunchy California. :D

Nope, but they were funny. California Crunch sounds like some Jack n Jill snack :)

Jack and Jill? Really? Thought you were gonna go for something like Calbee or some obscure Great One chip. What's so Flip-chip like about California Crunch? i think it sounds more Western, actually.

Wow! I love Japanese food and the pictures you posted look reall good. I just might try it.
You may also want to try Filo's. They serve fine Filipino cuisine that is really good. They are right in front of Go nuts Donuts at the Fort.

Hi and welcome, you're my first poster who I don't know personally! Glad you liked the pictures.

Filo's is on my list of restaurants to visit. We almost went there instead of Red Kimono, but Red Kimono's menu posted outside the door made us stop in our tracks. :)

Thank you for the welcome. I hope you don't mind that I had added you to my friends list.

Well, maybe next time, then. =) You might even catch a glimpse of Chef Ed Quimson.

whoever says it's good probably doesn't eat good filipino food in their own home. it's a bad copy of cendrillon in new york.

Hmmm...I did feel some relief we hadn't eaten there after I saw their cheesy store sign. Lighted acrylic decorated with banana leaves didn't really convey what I know they're trying to achieve. :)

Awww... well, that's sad.
What did you order at Filo's anyway? I ate there during the soft opening with the rest of the guests and I loved the smoked bangus spring rolls and the paella-style tinola. Their molo soup was exquisite, you'd think it was authentic Ilonggo-cooked molo.

Maybe you just didn't order the right stuff that could have suited your tastes? You can always request naman from the waiters and some chefs.

My bf and I are having dinner with Chef Ed Quimson there tomorrow. I will make sure your feedback gets to him just so he knows. =)

the tuna crunch looks yum. It looks like omakase sushi, only with better presentation. ahia and i have been contemplating on ordering sushi for delivery but all the sushi restaurants set a minimum price that would force us to order an entire tray of sushi that we wouldn't be able to finish :( haven't decided where to eat for my bday yet.. any suggestions?

You're not allowed to celebrate your birthday without me! Or you have to celebrate it with me again! No suggestions, eh, but you might try Yuji's. Or Fuku Roku's sushi is not that expensive if you pick it up yourself. I think there's even a discount if you order a day in advance.
