In other babbly news ...

I was annoyed with myself earlier for picking up the Good Friday day shift, grousing that working 24 hours out of a span of 40 is dumb. Then I realized: I do nearly the same thing every Thursday evening through Saturday morning, just split across two jobs and two hours less, and usually with 8 hours of clinical first on Thursday. I really do have ( Read more... )

I have that same problem with albuterol. Xopenex (levalbuterol - it's a derivative) is more expensive since it came out a few years ago, but it is much easier on the heart. I rarely have problems with it.

Huh. I'll have to remember that for future reference. Kinda surprised that wasn't suggested, actually. Thanks for the tip!

I hope you feel better soon, my dear. I'm so glad I didn't sign up for 5 for 5 March Madness thing. I can't remember when I last wrote 1,710 words in a day, never mind in an hour. Actually, I haven't signed up for normal 5 for 5 either because I just can't imagine ever making the target.

As for family, the only advice I can give you is to hang in there. No one can make us feel half as bad as family.

Thanks.

Lots of people don't make the 5 for 5 target, but it seems to help, what with the egging each other on and all. Not that I'm trying to lure you in or anything. *innocent look*

And yeah, family is ... fun. We shall see what happens.

Because it's not bad enough to have flooding and crazy rain, no, oh no, you have to be sick, too. :(

I hope you feel better soon.

(((huge hugs))) I'm sorry your father is still doing poorly. That's not happy. But, it is best not to compromise him. I know you know that. I'm just reiterating. :)

I'm sure the two are not entirely unrelated. Walking around like a drowned rat for a couple of days surely didn't help my resistance any.

And he'll probably always be doing poorly. The chronic heart failure and chronic renal failure aren't going to go away, what with the being chronic and all. Also, he's going to be 80 this year. 80!! Can't quite grasp that. So it'll probably never be a good idea to go near him with a cold again. Just hope this one clears up with a bit more rest and fluids and such.

{{huge hugs back}}

80! But . . . didn't he just turn 75? *whimper* How the heck is it 80 already?

Rest, get better. And then? Write more. Write more that I can read soon. :)

Oh, dear. I am STILL on the tail end of bronchitis, and Mr D is in the middle of it, so you have all my sympathy.

I think you're right to stay clear of your father for the present - imagine being the one to give him a virus that put him in intensive care ... You'll have other opportunities, and you will at least be able to phone him.

*hugs*

I understand the conflict completely and it is difficult. It sucks for you to be sick, but I think you have an awesome doctor!
