Oh, now THIS is going to be a fun winter

It is still just mid-October, right? I mean, almost exactly mid-October. Being the 15th and all.

It's freaking snowing. SNOWING!!!Granted, it's mixed with rain. In fact, it started out with raindrops that looked suspiciously like they contained snow when they splatted on my windshield. Then it became evident that I was not hallucinating, and ( Read more... )

It's freaking snowing.

Uh oh. That doesn't bode well for the rest of the winter.

In other, rather more serious news, today appears to be fail day in Southeast Connecticut.

It's not just there; it's everywhere. People have been nuts lately. I don't know what's going on. :(

It really, really doesn't.

Can't even blame it on the full moon. We're a few days shy of the next dark moon, if anything.

Whoa whoa whoa, so I WAS seeing some snow this afternoon? Feck! I thought it was just some interesting rain.

Yep, you really were seeing some snow. And it picked up by the time it got here. Weather alerts fail again, as all they warned for were "showers." To be fair, they didn't say they'd be strictly rain showers, but that is what one tends to assume.

It's only sticking on the cars so far, not the roads or even the grass. But still!

I'm still resisting that. I don't want to pull out the pea coat until at least November! So I'm layering long sleeved t-shirts and sweatshirts under the denim. Didn't quite cut it today, so I may have to give in. Bleh.

As for the additional levels of fail ... AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHH!

*hehe* Beth thought I was nuts when I wouldn't wear a coat, until she was in MA that one year for Xmas and saw *everyone* running around outside with just sweatshirts or sweaters on.

Coats are for when it's actually percipitating out! Not for the, you know, cold. Silly girl. I'm also in the "don't put the heat on until November" camp and it's so hard to get out of that. Because, it is warmer here, but she's Reynaud's girl, and so, heat is important.
