Fun at work

They took folks on an outing to the beach tonight. I'm guessing we have a pass for the state beaches, otherwise, that was a rather expensive outing.

Well, if you're able to walk there, no. But if you're driving, you'll shell out quite a bit of money to get in and park there, which is how they pay for upkeep.

If you're going to go often, you can buy a pass to stick on your car that means you don't have to pay every time and might even get you into an express entry lane to save sitting in a stream of cars for half an hour waiting to get in.

New London gives free passes to certain people (vets and disabled mostly, I think), which we've had in the past, but I hadn't heard we'd received one for this year.

Laugh it up. Nothing like getting beaten over the head with something. *sigh* Especially when you've managed to write a couple thousand words without, y'know, writing the character you're "supposed" to be writing.
