Actually, if you've watched S2, at least through "The Dark Age," you can read "Marked Men," as it's set pre-both-series but references info about Giles' youth revealed in "The Dark Age."
The sequel, "Almost a New Friend," won't make sense without S6, though, and ubi's "Recruit" is post-S7.
