So, over on metaquotes, there was this cute way a mother referred to the toxic sludge her daughter nearly created by warming up her buffalo wings to bring to school for lunch so they'd "still be a little warm" by lunchtime

She replied saying that she was thinking about penicillin, not food poisoning.

I replied saying that penicillin is an antibiotic and useless against the 'flu.

At least what she actually meant made marginally more sense than what I thought she meant. Gods know waaaaay too many people think antibiotics will fix everything.
