I have just picked up Dafoe's (he was SUCH a hack) 'A journal of the Plague Year'. It's one of those 'perspective' things one has to check on when one feels foolishly agrieved at people's quite ordinary bullshit behavior and whining condescension.

I say, I say, glad to see you here (speaking of plagues, er, purple ones). I have missed your astringent truisms and spelling that tops mine for 'that's a keeper' typo's (snarf!).

I have had to spend some time at the leper colony, but I'm glad to see there is still a place for pale and interesting people. True, I AM boring, but I'm quite pale. I have decided to hang up my bell for now and just, well, let 'er rip. After indulging in 'forum speak' for so long, I may experience a bout of cerebral constipation before the system is cleared: please bear/bare with me.
