One of my nieces is in Cozumel. As of yesterday, she was trying desperately to leave. As I understand it from my SIL, there was no evacuation. As soon as they knew Wilma was coming, the islnad was locked down. There are no shelters. According to an elevation map I found, it's mostly barely above sea level. And I'd throttle that news station. Because I'm sure she wants an interview right now, rather than to be left alone and able to get news about her daughter. Fucking people.

Yeah, I think that was just a moment of my SIL wanting to have someone to scream at, so she decided to scream at the people who ought to be reporting on this ... and they basically give her more stuff to scream about.
